Our upcoming November 4th cooking class promises to be the best one yet, not least because the Torrance Whole Foods store is enormous and has a great space for tastings and demonstrations. As the first class at a new Whole Foods location, this class is absolutely free and will feature five fabulous seafood dishes that you can make with ingredients from your neighborhood Whole Foods. Don’t wait to RSVP!

We’re going to start emailing a newsletter to our foodie friends to let them know when cooking classes and tasting events are coming up. If you want to receive the newsletter, go to our Connect page and enter your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will never pass your information on to anyone, no matter how much free seafood they offer us. Let us stay in touch to tell you about – for example – our upcoming Holiday Cooking Class at Whole Foods Long Beach.
On the menu for Wednesday night:
• Herb Crusted Mahi Mahi with Pickled Red Onion
• Seared Wild Salmon with a Butternut Squash Relish
• Crispy Catfish with a Smoky Almond Sauce
• Smoked Trout Cakes w/ a Grapefruit-Thyme Vinaigrette
• Potato Horseradish crusted Black Cod w/ Tomato Crème
The objective of the Whole Food’s Cooking classes is to de-mystify seafood. Andrew and Dave from Seafood for the Future will present cooking techniques that produce delicious, healthy dishes in 20 minutes or less. Seafood will no longer be relegated to long weekend meals or expensive nights out. Instead, seafood can become part of your everyday diet by focusing on simple and fresh techniques. Take our gently roasted Halibut recipe from our last class: all you need is some olive oil, fresh herbs, a lemon, and an oven. In less than 20 minutes, you can have fantastic, healthful halibut on your table, with no mess to clean up!
